Harvest Festival
At the end of March/early April we have our Harvest Festival. At that time we empty the fishing lake and the pond before the fish mature. During that time you can't catch fish but you can enjoy live music while having one fillet salmon hot smoked in your favourite flavour with a few slices of garlic bread and salad. We also sell all our fresh salmon for special clearance prices! The Festival is held on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm - 5pm. We will inform you of the exact dates each year through local newspapers and radio and on our website under Latest News on the homepage!

Queensday
Queensday is celebrated every year on the 30th of April to celebrate the birthday of our Dutch Queen. Queensday was introduced originally by Queen Wilhelmina since 1902. Her daughter Queen Juliana was born on April 30, which made this day a national holiday in the Netherlands when she officially became Queen. Her daughter and the current Queen of the Netherlands decided to keep Queensday on the 30th of April as a tribute to her mother.
It may not be a special date for Kiwis, but for the Dutch, this weekend is party time - time to don the 'oranje' shirts, hats, shoes... and celebrate the Queen's birthday with us at Anatoki Salmon Farm. We will have special prices for fishing during this day and live music to entertain you while fishing and eating as well as different activities for children.
Why Orange?
Because it is the color of the Dutch royal family, who descend from Willem van Nassau (1533-1584), Prince of Oranje. He led the Dutch against the Spanish King to independence and formed the basis of the current monarchy. As Oranje is Dutch for the color Orange, everything to do with the royal family is associated with the color Orange.
Mid-Winter Celebration
Towards the end of June we have our annual mid-winter event with live music to beat the winter blues. Find more up-to-date information about our next celebration under Latest News on the homepage and join us for great fish, food and fun.
